Homemade BBQ

Ingredients for the home made BBQ seasoning mix:

  • 1/2 tablespoon Thyme

  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder

  • 1 tablespoon Parsley

  • 1/2 teaspoon Celery Salt

  • 2 teaspoons Chili Powder

  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Salt

  • 2 tablespoons Smoked Paprika

  • 1/2 tablespoon Black Pepper

  • 1/4 cup Kosher Salt

  • 1/2 tablespoon Cumin

  • 1 tablespoon Onion Powder

  • 2 tablespoons Dried Mustard

  • 2 teaspoons Cayenne Pepper

  • 1/3 cup of Just Panela


Mix all ingredients together and store in an air-tight container until ready to use.

Ingredients for the BBQ sauce

  • 1 (7-ounce) jar or can organic tomato paste

  • 3/4 cup packed of Just Panela

  • 3 tablespoons spicy Dijon mustard

  • 2 tablespoons BBQ seasoning mix

  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper

  • 4 cups water


Whisk all the ingredients together in a large pan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce heat to maintain a simmer and cook, stirring occasionally, until reduced by about half or to desired thickness, about 1 hour.

Let it cool completely before putting into an airtight jar. Then you can store it in the refrigerator.

Use it it within a week or you can froze in the refrigerator for 6 months.
